Tour between Italy and France, between the natural park of Maritime Alps and the French National Park of Mercantour. Breathless landscapes in a magnificent environment: mountain tops over 3000 metres, alpine flora and fauna, the biggest open archaeological area of Europe.

Program:

1st day. Arrival in Cuneo, transfer to Terme di Valdieri, ascent to Remondino refuge. Terme di Valdieri – Remondino refuge (about 2:30 hours; disparity in altitude +750 m)
2nd day. At the foot of Argentera massif. Remondino refuge – Colle Brocan (2892 m) – Genova refuge (about 5:30 hours; disparity in altitude +500 m -900 m)
3rd day. In the heart of Maritime Alps. Genova refuge – Ellena Soria refuge – S. Giacomo d’Entracque (about 5:30 hours; disparity in altitude +450 m -1250 m); transfer to Trinità d’Entracque
4th day. From Italy to France. Trinità d’Entracque – Colle del Sabbione – Casterino (about 6 hours; disparity in altitude +1200 m  -650 m)
5th day. The “Vallée des Merveilles”. Visit to the prehistoric site of the famous rock-engravings (about 5:30 hours; disparity in altitude +900 m -400 m)
6th day. The Roya valley. Transfer by public bus to Saint-Dalmas-de-Tende; end of tour
The price includes: 5 days at half-board; 5 boxed lunches; 6 days of guided tour; baggage transfer (where possible); guided visit to the prehistoric site of rock-engravings of “Vallée des Merveilles”; transfer from Cuneo to Terme di Valdieri and from San Giacomo d’Entracque to Trinità d’Entracque; detailed itinerary program; assistance 24 hours a day
On request: transportation and transfers where not indicated; beverages; English speaking guide service; tourist tax, when required; anything not mentioned in “the fee includes” section
Accomodations: inn/gîte d’étape and refuge (group room)
